Now that Trump has very nearly emptied his White House of knowledgeable advisors or anyone with any idea how government actually operates, he’s going straight to the source for advice on what to do next: FOX News.
The latest major decision the right-wing propaganda network has made for the President is his decision to issue a presidential pardon of a former Navy sailor who pleaded guilty to a felony count of unauthorized possession and retention of national defense information.
Kristian Saucier served a year in federal prison for illegally taking photos on a nuclear submarine and then destroying the evidence. His legal team launched an aggressive publicity campaign that compared his case to that of Hillary Clinton’s, and argued that if she was cleared of any wrongdoing in improperly handling her emails, then so too should this guy.
They blasted the message right at the President, gaining the sympathy and support of FOX News, knowing that the President watches nonstop during executive time and bases a lot of his snap decision-making on it. They also sent press releases and media kits pleading their case straight to the White House.
Needless to say, it worked.
Crooked Hillary Clinton’s top aid, Huma Abedin, has been accused of disregarding basic security protocols. She put Classified Passwords into the hands of foreign agents. Remember sailors pictures on submarine? Jail! Deep State Justice Dept must finally act? Also on Comey & others

Despite a resounding “yeah, right” from the Justice Department – it said Saucier was “grasping at highly imaginative and speculative straws” – the media blitz worked. Trump was convinced that this guy who took a bunch of photos of classified war technology, got caught, and then ran home and destroyed all the evidence was definitely deserving of a pardon.
At least there’s still some separation of powers. Trump isn’t playing judge and jury all by himself, he’s splitting the duties with the highly qualified legal minds at FOX News. America is great.
