Trump just got the most humilating news of any president since World War II

- Maret 07, 2018

President Trump may finally be tired of winning, at least tired of winning the Quinnipiac University poll for worst president since the end of World War II as he did in the most recent edition of the poll released today.

The poll found that 41 percent of Americans surveyed think Trump is worse than any other of the 13 presidents from Truman to the present. It was a runaway victory for Trump with only 21 percent choosing Barack Obama as the worst president (compared to 24 percent who thought that he was the best president of the era), and Richard Nixon in third place with 10 percent.

Add your name to millions demanding Congress take action on the President’s crimes. IMPEACH TRUMP & PENCE!

Ronald Reagan won the best Commander-in-Chief rankings with 28 percent, followed by Obama, and a two-way tie for third place with Bill Clinton and John F. Kennedy at 10 percent. Oddly while Donald Trump was in the lead for worst president, he also came in fifth on the best president list at 7% with Gerald Ford in the last place at less than 1%.

The Quinnipiac poll also showed that Trump continues to have a record high disapproval rating with 56 percent of Americans opposed to his conduct in office and only 38 percent still approving of his presidency.

Among the other findings in today’s poll is that Trump’s handling of foreign policy at 61 percent disapproval – 33 percent approval is more unpopular than his handling of the economy which has a 49 percent disapproval rating and a 46 percent approval rating.

The demographics of Trump’s polling numbers show a wide difference between men and women, as well as amongst whites, blacks, and Hispanics. Men weigh in with a 49 percent – 44 percent disapproval-approval score. Women disapprove by a wider margin, 62 percent to 33 percent. White voters are fairly evenly divided at 47 percent – 48 percent, while disapproval is 86 percent – 7 percent among black voters and 68 percent – 24 percent among Hispanic voters.

Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, commented on the results, saying:

“President Donald Trump’s best card, perhaps his only card, remains the economy where he is close to break-even. He’s tanking on foreign policy and he draws even more fire on his handling of Russian President Vladimir Putin.”

“In 73 years, 13 men have governed from behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office and none of them have done so with less admiration from the American people.”

Trump’s unpopularity is rubbing off on the Republican party in general. The poll’s questions about the upcoming midterm congressional elections should have the GOP very worried.

48 percent of voters want the Democratic Party to win control of the U.S. House of Representatives, with 38 percent favoring Republicans to control the House. Independent voters back Democrats 45 – 33 percent. Democrats should control the U.S. Senate, voters say 49 – 39 percent, including 46 – 35 percent among independent voters.

That’s all bad news for the Republicans, but good news for the nation.
