House Republicans just got busted conspiring with Trump’s lawyers to cover up his treason

- Maret 06, 2018

The Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee, who have spent the past year and a half doing everything they can to obstruct and derail the investigations in the President’s campaign team and the alleged 2016 collusion with Russian agents, just crossed a red line.

The Daily Beast is now reporting that members of the House Intelligence committee are suspected to have been feeding confidential information relating to the Trump-Russia investigation to the President’s lawyer, Michael Cohen, in an obvious attempt to allow the Trump administration to prepare their talking-points and assemble their defenses ahead of time.

Attempting to influence a House Committee’s investigation for partisan reasons is a crime under federal obstruction of justice laws.

Today, Trump attorney Michael Cohen was exposed as the recipient of a confidential interview between an aide to Senator John McCain (R-AZ) David Kramer and the House intel panel about the infamous Trump-Russia dossier assembled by former MI6 agent Christopher Steele.

Shortly after David Kramer testified to the Committee in December, Cohen’s lawyer surprised Kramer’s lawyer with an out-of-the-blue phone call asking him what he knew about the Steele dossier.

But the former Senate aide was not interested in helping Trump or Cohen, according to The Daily Beast:

A few days after Kramer’s testimony, his lawyer, Larry Robbins, got a strange call. The call was from Stephen Ryan, a lawyer who represents Trump’s longtime personal attorney Michael Cohen. Cohen is facing scrutiny from Special Counsel Robert Mueller and congressional investigators regarding potential coordination between Trump’s team and the Kremlin. He featured prominently in the Steele dossier—the document that Kramer handled—and is currently suing Buzzfeed for publishing it.

Ryan told Robbins he reached out because someone from the House told him that Robbins’ client, Kramer, had information about the Steele dossier that could help Cohen. Robbins declined to help. Ryan then asked Robbins not to tell the House intelligence committee about their conversation.

Robbins promptly told the committee anyway.

David Kramer’s role as a seasoned advisor and confidential courier of the Trump-Russia dossier was just highlighted yesterday in a major expose by Jane Mayer about its author Christopher Steel in the New Yorker.

That led the House Intel Republicans to subpoena Kramer’s testimony, sending both his lawyer and the former aide scrambling to make it to Washington, D.C. to meet the panel’s partisan demands, led by Trump’s handmaiden Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA).

House Intel Democrats have been furious that Nunes and company have run a “take-them-at-their-word investigation” into Russia’s attack on America’s 2016 elections.

Trump attorney Michael Cohen’s testimony about his whereabouts during that election form some of the most important allegations in the Trump Russia dossier, but because Republicans backed by Nunes refuse to subpoena factual records to verify his statements, the investigation is at a standstill.

We learned recently that Cohen’s dirty work included what look like illegal hush money payoffs to the porn stars and playmates with whom Donald Trump liked to cheat on his wife, and decry the scariness of sharks.

Today’s news reveals that Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen has a mole inside the House Intel panel’s Russia investigation, who is working hard to help him obstruct whatever incriminating information that Congress might discover about his dirty work during the Trump Campaign.

Cohen’s reckless, potentially illegal use of secret Congressional information could even lead the Special Counsel to get involved, because of his testimony’s link to the 2016 campaign.

You can be sure that Special Counsel Mueller will soon be paying Mr. Cohen and Mr. Kramer a visit. If members of the House Intelligence committee are leaking information to the Trump team, the President might not be the only Republican to find himself in some serious hot water.
