After almost a full year of “will they/won’t they” drama, President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un seem to have finally set a date.
The world has watched with bated breath as Trump and “Little Rocket Man” exchanged tit for tat insults on Twitter and edged nearly to the brink of nuclear war.
Now, the two have agreed to meet face to face for anti-nuclear talks, according to a representative from South Korea.
A South Korean delegation met with Kim Jong Un in Pyongyang, following the Olympics. After the landmark meeting, Kim Jong Un allegedly expressed willingness to de-nuclearize North Korea’s arsenal, a major sticking point between North Korea and the rest of the world. It has also said it will stop nuclear tests.
If the meeting goes as planned, it will be a huge relief for the rest of the world, where normal people may have found themselves compulsively stockpiling canned goods while waiting for the world to end.
