Sources just revealed Trump did a rude impersonation of the Chinese president at lunch today

- Januari 29, 2018

President Trump’s well-documented racism seems to be only getting worse the longer he remains in office, with more and more reports of private conversations trickling out that depict him to be a crude bigot.

Recently, Trump was outted for referring to El Salvador, Haiti, and all of Africa as “shitholes” while adding that the U.S. should court more immigrants from (predominantly white) nations like Norway. The comments were widely and correctly identified as racist and a coded call for white nationalism and led to a media firestorm.

Shortly after that story broke, it was revealed that Trump privately affects an Indian accent and does a mocking impression of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi behind closed doors. It was exactly the kind of racism you’d expect from a man like Trump, but it was still shocking to hear that an American President was engaging in such low behavior.

Apparently, doing impressions of foreign leaders is something that Trump is passionate about. Trey Yingst of One America News, the conservative network, tweeted out that Trump held a private reception today during which he “recreated” his recent conversation with Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Corey Lewandowski, Trump’s former campaign manager and noted accused sexual assaulter, was in attendance along with Citizens United archconservative David Bossie and Trump campaign spokeswoman Katrina Pierson.

While the details of the “recreation” weren’t revealed, it seems safe to presume — given Trump’s past behavior — that it would have a distinctly bigoted character to it. One easily conjures an image of President Trump engaging in a racist cariacture.

It seems likely that more details about the “recreation” will eventually emerge, but already the report is damaging. Instead of forging stronger diplomatic and economic ties with China, Trump is alienating its leader by acting like a boor.

Sino-American relations were already facing an uphill battle under Trump due to his repeated bashing of the foreign country during his presidential campaign. But, as with all things Trump, he just keeps making it worse.
