A Michigan man has been arrested after threatening a mass shooting at CNN, according to WGCL-TV.
The man, who hailed from a Detroit suburb, made 22 calls to CNN, unleashing a litany of threats on the news outlet frequently targeted by Trump.
“Fake news. I’m coming to gun you all down,” the man said. “”I’m smarter than you. More powerful than you. I have more guns than you. More manpower. Your cast is about to get gunned down in a matter of hours.”
“I am coming to Georgia right now to go to the CNN headquarters to f*cking gun every single last one of you.”
The FBI was able to trace the call and the suspect was arrested within a matter of hours, before any attack could be carried out.
Of course, the link between Donald Trump’s incendiary rhetoric and the terror threat are unmistakable. The President has been vocally critical of the news outlet, lambasting the network as “fake news,” the exact words used by the Michigan man who threatened to “gun down” the newsroom.
You built this @realDonaldTrump POS.
This is what happens when you encourage your "poorly educated" magaturds to spam inflammatory rhetoric. Thankfully the FBI was on this before someone was hurt. pic.twitter.com/QvK6ACisf9

Just last week, Trump awarded CNN a “Fake News Award,” the pathetic byproduct of a President more obsessed with spewing incendiary vitriol than actually governing the country that was mired in a shutdown less than one year into his presidency.
Trump has also frequently targeted the cable news network in countless tweets, including his most “popular” one depicting him “beating up” CNN in a WWE-style wrestling match.

As Trump continues to launch attacks on our free press, there will undoubtedly be blood on his hands should any of these vile threats ever come to fruition. In no uncertain terms, the President of the United States is promoting a terror attack on members of the American media as the result of his provocative, targeted hate speech.
He is an instigator, a troll, and a failure as a leader.
