Fox News host’s new book just revealed Trump’s stunning admission on inauguration crowd size

- Januari 22, 2018

In Fox News host Howard Kurtz’s new book, “Media Madness: Donald Trump, The Press, And The War Over The Truth,” Trump apparently made a “rare admission” of regret to his aides after sending former White House Press Secretary in front of the press to claim that his inauguration crowd size was the biggest in history.

Per the book, special counselor Kellyanne Conway attempted to dissuade Spicer from making the claim, employing an oft-used line to both calm the President and massage his ego.

“You’re really big. That’s really small,” she said.

Despite her efforts, Spicer still conveyed the ill-advised – and now infamous – message at the podium.

“This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period, both in person and around the globe,” Spicer claimed.

According to Kurtz, following the press conference, Trump made a “rare admission.”

“You were right. I shouldn’t have done that,” he said to his aides, according to the book.

Spicer himself conceded that his claim was “first and foremost” among the times that he “screwed up” while serving as White House Press Secretary. He was unceremoniously ousted after a tumultuous tenure rife with derision and humiliation.

The fact that Trump would only privately concede this glaring, blatant, obvious untruth is a testament to just how unwilling – or quite literally incapable – of owning up to his many faults he truly is.
