President Trump, fresh from delivering a HUUGE tax cut to himself and his billionaire Republican donor friends, went to back to his hometown of New York City today to ask those wealthy patrons to give him and the GOP a slice of their new-found riches.
Traveling with Trump today are Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, who no longer has to continue lying about the real effects tax bill for now after it’s been passed by the Senate, and Senior Advisor and alternative fact-provider KellyAnne Conway.
Much to their displeasure, their motorcade through Manhattan was met by a large crowd of protestors who were ready to greet the President and his cronies with an appropriate response to both the tax cuts and the proof of collusion with Russia that General Michael Flynn’s guilty plea represents.

As one can see from the video attached to the tweet above, the crowd broke into chants of “Lock him up! Traitor!” and the old protest favorite “Hey hey! Ho ho! Donald Trump has got to go!”
After the events of the past week, with Republicans selling out their entire constituency with the exception of the ultra-wealthy and large corporations, and the treasonous actions of the Trump administration finally confirmed with the first of many convictions to come, it’s amazing that the streets of America aren’t filled with protestors this morning. If any week ever called for a universal general strike along the lines of the types seen in European nations, this was the one.
The fact that at least a group of die-hard New Yorkers were on the case is encouraging, but unless this level of protest goes countrywide and massive, we all might as well roll over and play dead–because some of us might well be soon, either from a North Korean missile, lack of health care, or another side effect of the Republican attack on the non-elites.
